Q: Are there preservatives in Polidori sausage?
A: No there are no preservatives in Polidori sausage.  Only natural minimally processed ingredients are used.

Q: Does Polidori sausage containg MSG?
A: Polidori sausage does not contain any MSG.  Our sausage also does not contain any soy, gluten, nitrates or nitrites.

Q: Do Polidori sausages contain Gluten?
A: Polidori sausages are Gluten Free.

Q: How long has your company been in business?
A: Proudly our company has been in business since 1925.  Started by Great Grandma Ana Polidori, the company is still family owned and operated by her great grandchildren Steven and Melodie.

Q: How many different varieties of Polidori sausage do you make?
A: We manufacture over 30 varieties of sausages.

Q: Is Polidori sausage high in fat?
A: As a matter of fact, Polidori sausage if you compare nutritional facts, is the leanest Italian Sausage on the market at only 11grams of fat per serving.

Q: Does Polidori sausage contain a high number of carbohydrates?
A: No, Polidori sausage contains 5 grams of carbohydrates per serving.

Q: How long will an unopened package of Polidori Sausage last in my refrigerator?
A: Polidori Sausage can be refrigerated up to the “sell by” date marked on the package. Once you open the package, cook and eat the sausage within 3 days. Polidori Sausage can be frozen for up to 4 months.

Q: Is Polidori a local company?
A: Polidori Meats is a local company, celebrating our 80th year in business. Run by 4th generation Polidori’s, they have been making Italian Sausage in Denver, longer than any other company.

Q: I have not seen Polidori at my local grocery store. What should I do?
A: If you don’t see Polidori Sausage at your local grocery store, talk to the meat manager and ask them to order it. Customer’s demands have strong influences over what a store carries.

Q: What is the main ingredient in Polidori sausage?
A: Pork. Only the finest pork is used. Pork shoulder is the main ingredient. We do not use pork trim.

Q: Why does other sausage seem redder than Polidori sausage?
A: Polidori’s secret ingredient of spices maintains a natural look to the sausage. Polidori uses nothing in its ingredients to artificially color its sausage. In the early years, Italian Sausage never contained paprika. Italian Sausage companies started putting paprika in their Italian Sausage to make it more attractive to the consumer eye.

Q: What is the best way to cook Polidori sausage?
A: There are several ways in which to cook Polidori sausage. A favorite and quick way is to panfry, grill or broil for 15 – 20 minutes, turning frequently until cooked through and firm to the touch. Remember that fresh sausage needs to be cooked thoroughly.
